BBQ Pro makes it easy to customize your firewall rules exactly as needed. While doing so, you may want to disable and remove certain patterns to suit your site’s traffic and security goals. This super quick tutorial explains how to disable and remove any firewall pattern with a few clicks.

Ready?

To disable and remove any pattern:

  1. Enable the plugin setting, “Remove Disabled” and save changes.
  2. Visit the pattern you want to remove and uncheck the box next to it.
  3. Click the “Save Changes” button and done.

That’s all there is to it.

Note that when the plugin option “Remove Disabled” is unchecked/disabled, any disabled (unchecked) patterns will not be deleted. Likewise, if any patterns are unchecked, they will be deleted if/when the “Remove Disabled” option is enabled.

Don’t worry if you make a mistake, BBQ Pro makes it easy to restore default firewall patterns.
