Quick news post to announce sunsetting of all “Unlimited” license deals. Since launching Plugin Planet in 2014, our pro WordPress plugins are available in 1-site, 3-site, 5-site, 10-site, or unlimited-site licenses. As of August 24th, 2022, the Unlimited-site option for licenses no longer will be available. Licenses for new purchases will support a maximum of 300 sites (Developer-level).
Here are the big take-home points:
Unlimited licenses going away August 24th
For purchases made after August 24th, unlimited-site licenses (i.e., “Developer”-level) no longer will be available. From that time, Developer-level licenses will support a maximum of 300 sites.
Existing licenses are grandfathered in
No changes are being made to any existing purchased license. All Developer/Unlimited licenses purchased before August 24th will be grandfathered in, and will continue to support unlimited sites.
No changes made to lifetime licenses
While unlimited licenses are going away August 24th, lifetime licenses are not. For clarity, “unlimited” refers to the number of supported sites, whereas “lifetime” refers to the duration for which a license is active. No changes are being made to any lifetime license, so you can still get great LTDs for many of our pro plugins.
